Schlieder Contemporary is an international contemporary art gallery founded by art historian Sylvia Schlieder, who brings 23 years of experience in the international art market. The gallery’s approach is shaped by close observation, personal dialogue and long-term collaboration with both artists and clients.
Rather than following short-lived trends, Schlieder Contemporary represents artists with distinctive visual languages and the potential to develop substantial and enduring bodies of work.
The gallery has supported its artists over many years through curated exhibitions, international art fairs, institutional partnerships and placements in private and corporate collections. This long-standing experience enables Schlieder Contemporary to offer collectors more than an individual artwork: a carefully curated selection informed by an in-depth understanding of each artist, their practice and their wider artistic development.

A Gallery-Curated Online Selection
For our online shop, every artwork has been personally selected by the gallerist directly from the artists’ studios, and reflects the distinctive artistic language, quality and long-term development of the artists represented by the gallery. Our selection includes painting, works on paper, photography, sculpture, light art, shaped canvases and artworks created from preserved natural materials.
Collectors can discover available works, dimensions and prices online while still benefiting from the knowledge, advice and personal service of an established gallery. For additional works, larger formats or pieces currently available directly from an artist’s studio, please contact us. We're happy to provide individual shipping offers for your final selection.
Bespoke Artworks for Art Consultants and Interior Designers
Selected artists represented by Schlieder Contemporary create bespoke and custom-made artworks for private residences, corporate environments, hospitality projects, yachts, hotels and architecturally significant interiors.
We collaborate with art consultants, interior designers and architects to develop artworks that respond to the dimensions, proportions, materials and atmosphere of a particular space.

The gallery manages the dialogue between the consultant, designer, client and artist from the initial briefing through to production and delivery.

Each artwork remains recognizably part of the artist’s established practice while being developed thoughtfully for the space in which it will be placed.

Schlieder Contemporary regularly presents its artists to collectors, art consultants and design professionals in North America. Following its successful participation in Art Toronto, the gallery continues to develop its presence in Canada and the United States, including presentations and client meetings in Toronto and Palm Beach.
