In her peacock feather works, Hilde Trip transforms one of nature’s most enduring symbols of beauty into a meditation on perception and meaning. For centuries, the peacock feather has carried layers of cultural and artistic resonance—from the “eyes” of immortality in ancient myth, to its opulent presence in Byzantine mosaics, Mughal miniatures, and the gilded ornament of Art Nouveau. Trip gathers and re-organizes these feathers into sculptural compositions that strip away decoration to reveal their elemental power: iridescence, pattern, and fragility.
 
By preserving and reframing each feather, Trip echoes art history while pushing beyond it, showing how natural forms can still astonish in contemporary art. Her work situates the feather not only as a decorative motif but as a living material—one that speaks of vulnerability, transformation, and the tension between splendour and impermanence.
 
The Dutch nature artist Hilde Trip (b. 1980) invites us to experience the natural world in a new balance of order and wonder. Her chosen materials—dandelions, leaves, feathers, and seeds—are collected by hand in rhythm with the seasons. Through a precise process of “re-organization,” she reshapes nature into sculptural objects and immersive installations, where beauty, fragility, and impermanence are held in delicate equilibrium.
 
Trip’s work is both meditative and rigorous: a dialogue between nature’s organic abundance and the artist’s exacting structures. What should scatter, dissolve, or decay is instead stilled, reimagined, and given permanence.
 
A graduate of the Dutch Floral Master Academy, Trip refined her vision through time in New York and Japan, before dedicating herself fully to a career as a visual artist. She lives and works in Emmen, the Netherlands, and her work is represented by international galleries.

Die niederländische Naturkünstlerin Hilde Trip (*1980) lässt den Betrachter die Natur in neuen Zusammenhängen erleben. Ihre Grundmaterialien - Pusteblumen, Blätter, Federn, oder Samen - sammelt sie während den einzelnen Jahreszeiten selbst.
 
Das Angebot von Flora und Fauna wird zu meist organisch geformten Kunstobjekten oder ganzen Rauminstallationen. Hilde Trip folgt einer genauen Struktur und „re-organisiert“ die Natur. Sie fängt deren Schönheit, Verletzlichkeit und Vergänglichkeit ein und konserviert sie in einem beständigem Kunstwerk. Die Natur inspiriert und fordert sie mit ihrem mannigfaltigen Angebot permanent heraus und bietet ihr einen umfangreichen Fundus für ihre Kreationen, welche sie auch immer weiterentwickelt.
 
Nach ihrem Abschluss an der Niederländischen Floral Master Academy verbrachte sie Zeit in New York und Japan, um internationale Erfahrung und Inspiration zu sammeln und entschloss sich schließlich für eine Karriere als bildende Künstlerin. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Emmen, NL und wird von internationalen Galerien vertreten.
