Patrik Grijalvo (Bilbao, ES)

The Spanish artist travels the world with his analog Hasselblad camera to photograph both the exterior structures and the interiors of art museums, most of which were designed by renowned contemporary architects such as Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, David Chipperfield, Amanda Levete, Frank Gehry, Italo Rota, and Tadao Andō.
He then scans the negatives and has them printed in various formats on Hahnemühle Photo Rag®. The photographs are subsequently cut apart and rearranged into three-dimensional, fictional compositions that often make it impossible to discern the original perspectives. The result is a fascinating fusion of reality and artistic interpretation. His contemporary photographs are distinguished by a subtle elegance and profound sensuality, drawing the viewer into a world of mystery and reflection.

Der spanische Künstler bereist die Welt mit seiner analogen Hasselblad, um sowohl die äußeren Strukturen als auch die Innenbereiche von Kunstmuseen zu fotografieren, die hauptsächlich von renommierten zeitgenössischen Architekten wie Zaha Hadid, Rem Koolhaas, David Chipperfield, Amanda Levete, Frank Gehry, Italo Rota oder Tadao Andō entworfen wurden. Anschließend scant er die Negative ein, lässt diese in diversen Formaten auf Hahnemühle Photo Rag® ausdrucken. Die Aufnahmen werden dann zerschnitten, um sie zu dreidimensionalen, fiktiven Kompositionen zu arrangieren, die oft nicht mehr erkennen lassen, wo die ursprünglichen Perspektiven aufgenommen wurden. Dies resultiert in einer faszinierenden Verschmelzung von Realität und künstlerischer Interpretation. Seine zeitgenössischen Fotografien zeichnen sich durch subtile Eleganz und tiefgründige Sinnlichkeit aus, die den Betrachter in eine Welt der Mysterien und Reflexionen entführen.
